Divine Organic Foods (DOF), is a woman-led Agribusiness Enterprise, established and registered with Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) in 2017 compliant with government statutory obligations.  It has a Nutrition, social enterprise, and profit lens in operation. The enterprise is specialised in the cassava, beetroot, and sweet potato (white, orange, and purple flesh) value chains: seed enterprise, on-field production, processing into primary and end-user products, market development and linkages, capacity building as a host of the knowledge hub, and policy advocacy. To support the value addition to our root and tubbers, the enterprise has included the production of High Iron Rich Beans, Pro-Vitamin A Maize, Soya and Amaranth vegetables into its enterprises as secondary priority crops.

Divine Organic Foods started as a producer and distributor of certified cassava cuttings and sweet potato vines. It has grown to become the leading possessor of OFSP flour and associated nutrients dense food products in northern Uganda. Four of our products are UNBS certified, two of which have been classified by the Uganda National Drug Authority as organically fortified food supplements. Other products are at different stages of product development. The enterprise is amongst the private sector organisations in Uganda  signed up as members to the Scaling Up Nutrion Businesses Network with commitment to scaling up nutrition within the UN framework. DOF has therefore aligned its strategies to ensure that it makes accessible, affordable, and safe nutrients dense food products to leave no one behind, in fulfilment to its social enterprise stand.

Divine Organic Foods is Root and Tuber Knowledge Hub in partnership with National Crop Resources and Research Institute (NaCRRI) of the National Agricultural Research Organisation (NARO). The hosting and convening role was found appropriate for Divine Organic Food based on its conviction, capacity and rootedness in every segment of the root and tuber value chains.
