About Us
Nature of Business:
Readysprout Ugandan Ltd operates as an agribusiness enterprise dedicated to enhancing agricultural productivity and value addition among youth farmers in Gulu City, Northern Uganda.
Mission:
Our mission is to empower youth farmers by fostering sustainable agricultural practices, thereby improving livelihoods, promoting enhanced nutrition, and contributing to a financially empowered society.
Vision:
We envision a highly productive society empowered through sustainable agricultural practices, fostering economic growth, improved nutrition, and prosperity.
History:
Founded on June 24, 2019, Readysprout Uganda Limited is a locally-owned and operated enterprise deeply rooted in the Northern Ugandan community. Over the years, our commitment to supporting local youth farmers has driven our growth and impact in the region.
Our journey began in Akuriluba Village in Aromo Sub County in Lira district, as farmers dealing in the growing of soybeans. Having suffered from severe allergies from consuming other soy products on the market, and also being cheated by middlemen, the first thing that came to our mind was to add value to the soybeans that we were growing, as opposed to selling them directly to the middlemen. We therefore ventured into production of soya flour and millet flour under our brand name "Joysoy" and "Joy Millet flour."
